1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Home Ready ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Home Ready is a mobile application designed to help users create and manage checklists for various routines such as leaving home, going to bed, and other daily activities. The App provides:

  • Customizable routine templates
  • Checklist management with timestamps
  • Reminder notifications
  • Home and Lock Screen widgets
  • Local data storage and optional backup export

3. Privacy and Data Collection

Home Ready is designed with privacy as a core principle:

  • No Account Required: The App does not require registration or personal information.
  • Local Storage: All your routines, checklists, and history are stored locally on your device.
  • No Data Upload: We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers.
  • No Tracking: The App does not include any analytics, tracking, or third-party data collection tools.
  • Data Export: You have full control to export your data as a backup file at any time.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of Home Ready, you agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not use the App in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the service
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems

5. Intellectual Property

Home Ready, including its design, code, content, and features, is owned by App Chef and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The App is licensed, not sold, to you for use under these terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • That any defects will be corrected

While Home Ready is designed to help you remember important tasks, you remain solely responsible for ensuring the safety and security of your home and belongings.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, App Chef shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the App
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the App
  • Any bugs, viruses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the App

8. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

9. Updates and Modifications

We may release updates to improve the App, fix bugs, or add new features. While we strive to maintain backward compatibility, some updates may require you to update your version of the App to continue using certain features.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with platform-specific features provided by Apple (iOS) and Google (Android), including:

  • Push notifications
  • Home and Lock Screen widgets
  • Haptic feedback

Your use of these platform features is also subject to the respective platform's terms of service and privacy policies.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App without prior notice or liability for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
